How’s your day going today? How are you feeling in this moment? It’s self check-in time! Take a pause and ask yourself: how are your body and mind feeling? Is there anything screaming for attention—tension, fatigue, or even a quiet call for rest or nourishment?

I love to ask myself these same questions several times a day because it helps me to realign myself.

Now, close your eyes if you can. Take a deep, slow breath in through your nose—fill your belly, let your chest rise gently. Hold it for a moment at the top. And then slowly exhale through your mouth, feeling your shoulders soften as the air leaves your body. Let’s do that again. Inhale peace. Hold. Exhale tension. One more time—inhale deeply, bringing in awareness. And exhale, releasing anything that doesn’t need to stay.

Focus on carving out dedicated time for self-care, whether it's for exercise, meditation, or simply enjoying a quiet cup of tea. Use this time to think about what activities recharge you the most and plan to integrate them into your schedule.

I have amazing news to share, but first want to spend some time talking about this guest that I interviewed, Njideka. She is a reflexologist and has a lifetime of learning under her belt. I have been interested in this form of healing, especially since my car accident, so I loved having the chance to ask her a bunch of questions.

The funny thing is my husband did not know about this interview and within a day or two of this recording told me I should look into reflexology for myself. I hope you feel serendipity as you listen like I did.
